On Campbell Hill, northeast of Bellefontaine, just south of highway 540, Logan County, 4th Congressional District, EPA Region 5
Site History and Findings of Fact
The former Bellefontaine Air Force Station, previously known as Bellefontaine Direction Center P-73, consisted of approximately 52 acres obtained by direct purchase in 1951.
It was declared excess to GSA on October 1969 and conveyed to the HEW, which leased and then transferred it in its entirety in 1972 to the Ohio Hi-Point Vocational Career Center, which teaches adult educational classes and is a vocational and trade school for 11th and 12th grade students. It also provides daycare and preschool services.
The radar tower was removed in 1998
