Cape Newenham AFS, AK C-123 Crash

"On 26 January, a C-123 crashed while attemptin a go-around during high, turbulent winds. The aircraft struck the ground on the side of the hill directly south of the site and came to rest on the summit of the pass. The crew members escaped unaided with only minor injuries."
