The photo image above shows the aftermath of Hurricane Donna (1960) at Cherry Point MCAS, NC (M-116). The newspaper clipping was in the scrapbook at Fort Fisher AFS which used to sit in the Commander`s outer office (waiting area). I thought that scrapbook had "walked" ... but actually it was safely archived at the Army National Guard Museum on site
The photo itself copied quite well. It shows the one AN/FPS-8 search-radar sail that blew off its tower during the hurricane. Someone`s car below then got unexpectedly compacted.
