Site History and Findings of Fact
17.96 acres of land were acquired in December 1955 for the Galata Gap Filler Annex (P-25A).
These lands consisted of 0.91 acres fee for site facilities and 17.05 acres easement for an access road and utilities. A no-area license was acquired in July 1955 for a road connection.
Improvements included a generator and allied electrical equipment, concrete pad and radar tower, one concrete block building, a sanitary latrine, a 10,000-gallon steel fuel oil underground storage tank, and 475 feet of man-proof fencing.
The gap filler was deactivated on 1 September 1960, and equipment was removed prior to being put up for bid on 13 November 1961.
The entire site and improvements were conveyed to Harrold E. Henry by Quitclaim Deed dated 2 March 1962. The no-area license was terminated on 20 April 1962.
