Miles Martin, Maj. USAF, Ret., Montauk`s last Commanding Officer

The set of hand drawn "cartoons" were drawn by the last 1st Sgt at Montauk, MSgt Lit Logan. He was a terrific cartoonist and somewhat unique among NCO`s in that he had a Master`s degree. He became the 1st Sgt for the AWACS Sq at Tinker after leaving Montauk. He and his wife became ministers after retirement and now live in New Mexico. I found his file of cartoons after he left and had to save them. They are priceless to anyone who knew the people. The faces on the mushrooms in the Ops room are really like real people in Ops. I can still recognize several of them. It may not be too funny to anyone who did not know that the ops room was always very dark. He even used his art work to enforce the regs.
