The Naselle AFS (Air Defense Command, site P-57) was known as a "split" operations site. The radar search equipment, op3erations control and communications functions were in the concrete block buildings on the top of whatis now commonly called "Radar Hill". The cantonment area: BOQ, airmen barracks, mess hall, supply, motor pool, airmen`s club, orderly room, civil engineers and heating plant buildings were at the bottom of the hill adjacent to Washington Sate Highway #4."
