North Truro before the Air Force arrived

The photo of the Cape Cod (Highlands) Lighthouse (below) was reportedly made in 1940, well before construction began at what would later become North Truro AFS. The radar station would be built beginning circa 1950 near the photo`s center and left (note the Jenny Lind Tower at the far left which stands to this day next to the former AF Station).
