The small tower in the foreground is the relay tower for the automatic weather station. In the background you can see the TV and cell-phone tower. The concrete slabs with the bolts sticking up in the near foreground are the fondations of one of the billboard antennas used by the Troposcatter 486L communications system used in the days before satellite communications took over. Note the horses in the middle-ground: these are an autoctonous breed known as "Potxokas" and you can see more of them on the web-site that I maintain for my wife, at http://www.atxeden.com/fotos/photos.htm for live ones and at http://www.atxeden.com/sculpt/228.htm for her rendition in sculpted form.

The source website is maintained by a mountaineering club, and the photo shows "Ruins of the old American Base", which could be either the radar site or the Tropo site.
