I was sorting through some old military papers and found this aerial view of King Salmon that I forgot I had. This one can be pretty precisely dated as winter of `83 to spring of `84 as the new `consolidated` exchange/chowhall/club/theater building (which opened in Feb of `84) is
shown, while the old search tower (minus dome) is still extant (this was torn down in spring of `84 while I was there. Note too that the `new` barracks (from `77) and the `new` supply warehouse (the larger building closest to the camera) are also there; the appearance of the whole site is quite different from the earlier pictures of the `50s, `60s, and `70s.
