History of Duncanville AFS, TX

In 1952 the 745th AC&W Squadron began operating an AN/CPS-6B and an AN/FPS-10 radar at this site. In 1958 the height-finder radar was replaced by an AN/FPS-6. An AN/FPS-27 FD search radar was planned, but was subsequently cancelled. This facility closed on July 1, 1964, when the 745th Radar Squadron transferred to the Perrin Radar Annex (renamed Perrin AFS, RP-78 / Z-78).
