P-54 Z-54   770 Palermo AFS, NJ CPS-4; FPS-3; FPS-20; FPS-6 (2) FPS-65; FPS-6 1948 1961 Squadron relocated to Ft. Meade, MD (RP-54/Z-227). GATR was R-14. Palermo AFS itself re-opened a year later as site Z-54 with the 680th Radar Squadron (transferred from Yaak AFS, MT, P-11). After final site closure, GATR was designated as R-28.
P-54A, RP-63E, P-56B Z-56B     Bethany Beach, DE FPS-14   Sep-57 Jun-68 Gap-Filler Annex. Former U.S. Army Air Warning Station (AWS) #11. Located 2.5 miles SW of Bethany Beach, DE. Originally was P-54A.

Current Use: Demolished (except for the housing area). [Note: This is the first Palermo AFS operation that ceased in 1961; see also the 680th Radar Squadron (SAGE), Palermo AFS, that operated from 1962 until 1970.] Housing area is presently up for sale.
