SM-160     862 Poston AFS, AZ ** planned: TPS-1D; TPS-10       ** Replaced by the unmanned Poston (AZ) Gap-Filler Annex (M-128D / SM-162I) during 1955, per ADC Historical Study No. 34, “Radar Defenses for Air Defense, 1946 – 1966.” Construction for this prime Phase II radar station was already underway at Poston when the deletion action came in Feb. 1955. The Poston radar station was being constructed at the former Colorado War Relocation Camp which had been used to house Japanese during WWII.

Current Use: The original buildings are unoccupied and in an extremely poor state of repair. The west side of the station is populated by house trailers which are occupied. The gap-filler annex is extant, but appears to be vacant.
