Thought you might enjoy this photo from Thule in 1966. We were on a small LST(?) heading up towards the glaciers on a photo shoot. An iceberg was close to "calving" from the larger glacier. As we progressed further and further up the fjord, the floating ice kept getting thicker and thicker. We kept hitting the ice "cubes" which either moved aside or passed under our keel. We then hit one chunk of ice which lifted the bow out of the water and knocked a few people to the deck. At that point, even our Danish skipper decided he'd had enough, and we turned around and headed back to the power ship. Regards, Chris McWilliams
