Sargent was stationed their by the DelBonita in the late 50`s till about 1960. I can`t remember exact years. My dad came for a visit July 2002 and we drove up to the base to check it out. It was neat listening to my dad explain what building was what and what they did in them. I at the time could only imagine what they looked like back then. We went through the barracks and the only tennants there are the wild animals, birds and cows that wander in. There is nothing left of the mess hall except the brick colored tiled floor which still looks like it was just put down. We went into the one dome that was left and it is an empty shell. I tried to picture the base with activity but it was to hard. Now that I have seen pictures from when it was being used I can now picture all of you that were there watching over America. Thank you to all who have served in whatever line of military you are all great men and women. 10/10/2002 00:00:00 Name: Joe Noonan Very nice sight.
