I have been looking for a gentleman named Byron Coghlan, went by the nickname Bif. He had a wife named Jan and a son named Sean. We were stationed at the 674 Radar Sq. in Osceola, Wisconsin 1971-1972. He returned to Iowa City, Iowa after he got out in 1973. We kept in touch for a long time, but now he and his family has disappeared. If anyone knows of him and his family please drop me a line.

Just revisiting this site. Was at Fort Fisher AFS in N.C. 1957. Looking for anyone who might know a former airman named David Surratt who was also stationthere. Also was on Texas Tower 2 1958-1960. I also am trying to locate former Tower mate Named David Gillotti who was originally from Danbury Conn. Any help would be appreciated. This continues to be a great site.

Remember two things about Hofn. The 4th of July Midnight softball game and one particular bubble check by an Adolla Bird that had `Buff` Braswell diving for cover.

I was never stationed at an AC&W site, but I did a few TDYs and weekend SCUBA diving trips to Wallace Air Station, RP. The web site at: http://www.personal.isat.com/squatchman/Wallace.htm Has a great photo of Wallace AS which is much as I remember it around 1980. I don`t know the date of the photo.

Worked at Torrejon (FPS8) with Ben MacDonald and crew 1968 to 1973, then on to Wright Patterson 4950th test wing for one year then left radar forever. I think the actual site at Wright Pat was in Jonestown, linked the data to the base via an MR300 microwave link (I think we used an old MR3 at Torrejon for a while, memory is faiding). Also worked the old gunlaying autotrack radar at Wright Pat when we interfaced it to a lazer system.

Started at one of the Air Forces very best `secret` sites for 303X2`s, 1989 Comm Sq, OL-B, Paracuellos, Spain [Madrid Airport - civilian clothes assignment]. Followed by the next best assignment for 303X2`s at 56CSG, Avon Park Bombing Range in Central Florida. Up to Campion AK, Back to Avon Park, Up to Hofn, Iceland, Down to the newly formed SE ROCC at Tyndall. Took a `voluntary` retraining into 30371 and finished up in Air traffic Control at RAF Upper Heyford, England. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, but over all, it was a 20yr good time with very good people.
