I am searching for anyone who might have served with him. And any photos I might acquire. He passed away May of 2008 and I am trying to put together a memorial for him. He was a very good man and deserves only the best. Hancock (Chaplain, Col, USAF, I was a "remote station chaplain" assigned to cover King Salmon AFS, Cold Bay AFS, and Cape Newenham AFS, in Alaska from March 1971 to February 1972. I "made the rounds" from my home base at Elmendorf AFB, and visited the sites each month. I failed to get in to Cape Newenham just one month due to weather. He worked as a Long Range Radar Tech for the FAA. He passed away last week. I enjoyed seeing the pictures of the old radar site on your page it brings back lots of memories. |
