I was stationed at Cape Lisburne 1952 - 1953. I was a Powerman and in charge of everything that would generate electricity, plus everything with a gas or diesel engine, i.e., road graders, bulldozers, the whole motor pool and the tramway. I was the operator of the tramway the day the gondola crashed into the tower just below the top terminal. Scary for anyone, especially at 21 years old.

I did not see any names I recognized on your Roster. Added mine. Oh, some may remember me, I was the 5 foot 3 inch barber after Tex was taken off to Ward 8 somewhere. I built a platform around the barber chair to make cutting hair more ergonomic for my height. I had never cut hair before in my life till then. I would not have then, but I lost in the double elimination beer drinking contest!!
